The 26-year-old centre-back joined Sheffield United on loan from Leicester in the summer of 2024 and was a popular player at Bramall Lane. He returned to his parent club for treatment and did not feature again for Sheffield United. Despite this, there is reportedly a mutual affection between Soutter and the Blades. The Leicester manager, Marti Cifuentes, acknowledged Soutt’s potential return from a long-term injury and suggested that a move for the defender is not a priority.
