Second fire on Meadowhall Road tackled by crews
Firefighters were called to a second fire on Meadowhall Road in Sheffield on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, just days after a major industrial blaze nearby.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said two fire engines attended a commercial building after a call was received at 2.57pm, reporting that smoke was issuing from the premises.
Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and were preparing to leave the scene shortly afterwards. The fire service said the cause is believed to be accidental, and there have been no reports of any injuries.
The incident is separate from the larger industrial fire on Meadowhall Road on Friday, 2 January.
