Redundancies confirmed in Sheffield after Arnold Laver collapse
Administrators have confirmed that 214 people have been made redundant, including at least 50 roles in Sheffield, following the collapse of National Timber Group, the parent company of Arnold Laver.
Nationally, around 561 jobs have been placed at risk as part of the administration process. In Sheffield, the Mosborough branch of Arnold Laver has closed, resulting in the loss of 21 jobs.
Further redundancies have been confirmed at 21 sites across the country where no buyer has been secured.
Administrators have said there have been offers for several individual sites, but no agreement has been reached for the sale of the business as a whole. Talks are continuing to determine whether any additional branches can remain open.
