Carver Street Bus Stop to Close as Temporary Diversions Begin on 7 December
Carver Street bus stop in Sheffield will be closed for most services from Sunday 7 December 2025, as new temporary diversions come into effect.
A new route will operate via Rockingham Street, where a temporary replacement stop will be located close to West Street. The Sheffield Connect SC1 service will continue to use Carver Street as normal.
Affected services include: 6, 30, 30a, 52, 52a, 95, 95S, 120, 120k, 181, 257a, 257b, X30.
Although the Rockingham Street stop does not yet have a raised kerb, buses will still be able to lower or deploy a ramp for passengers who require step-free access. The diversion also provides improved walking access to and from West Street and connections to nearby services.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead using Travel South Yorkshire, with further details available on the council’s Have Your Say Sheffield page.
