Carlos Carvalhal Sends Birthday Message of Support to Sheffield Wednesday Fans

Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has marked his 60th birthday with a message expressing his continued affection for the club and its supporters.

Carvalhal, who managed Wednesday between 2015 and 2017, remains well regarded by many fans after guiding the team to back-to-back play-off campaigns. He was the first managerial appointment made during Dejphon Chansiri’s tenure, following the club’s takeover from Milan Mandarić in 2015.

Off the pitch, Sheffield Wednesday remain in a period of financial and ownership uncertainty. Administrators Begbies Traynor are working to progress the sale process and identify a preferred bidder, as the club continues to navigate concerns over wage payments and financial commitments involving staff and HMRC.

Administrators say they hope to confirm a new owner as soon as possible to support the long-term stability of the club.
