Four arrested after Christmas Day shooting in Sheffield
South Yorkshire Police have arrested four men on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting on Christmas Day in Sheffield.
Officers were called to Wilfred Drive in the Darnall area at around 11.27pm after reports of a firearms incident. Emergency services attended and found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a critical condition, police confirmed.
The four men, all aged in their 20s, remain in police custody while detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Additional patrols have been deployed in the area to provide reassurance to residents.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information who was in the Wilfred Drive area on Christmas evening to come forward.
