Sheffield’s Brigantes Orchestra is set to embark on a world tour, starting with six concerts at Sheffield Cathedral between October and June. The world tour will begin on October 17 with a performance of French classics, including Bizet’s music from L’Arlésienne, Ravel’s Boléro and Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony. The orchestra’s new season will be its biggest to date and includes music from around the world from around six different countries. Composers include composers such as Grieg Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Elgar, Holst, Copland and Gershwyn.
