About Us
Broadcasting from the centre of the city in The Quadrant, just off The Parkway in Sheffield, Radio Essentials has been on air across Sheffield and South Yorkshire since February 2023. Bringing everything that’s local to Sheffield & South Yorkshire. We also cover Rotherham and Doncaster from our three transmitter sites.
Radio Essentials is made up of a small team of radio professionals who have worked for radio stations including, Hallam FM, Rother FM, Dearne FM, Heart and Kerrang Radio (just to name a few) with a combined experience of over 50 years
Our strategic goal is to integrate with local folk of Sheffield and South Yorkshire and become a trusted source of local information along with playing a great mix of music from the 70’s right through to today’s hottest songs including artist from South Yorkshire, including The Human League, ABC, Reverend & The Makers, The Artic Monkey’s and Pulp.
