Tramlines 2026: Full Line-Up, Set Times, Travel Disruption and Weather
Tramlines Festival returns to Hillsborough Park, Sheffield, from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July 2026.
Fatboy Slim, Courteeners and Wolf Alice headline a packed weekend of live music, comedy and entertainment.
Festival essentials:
Gates open at 12 noon each day, with last entry at 7.30pm. Standard ticket holders cannot leave the site and then re-enter.

Travel disruption around Tramlines
Festival crowds will lead to significant changes to public transport and traffic around Hillsborough, particularly as people leave the festival each evening.
Trams
Friday and Saturday, roughly 11am to 6pm:
- Blue Route trams will run every 12 minutes and travel to Middlewood instead of Malin Bridge.
- Purple Route services will be extended to Malin Bridge.
- Yellow Route and Tram Train services are expected to operate normally.
- Trams between Fitzalan Square and Middlewood will run as frequently as every six minutes.
After the festival, passengers will be directed towards a dedicated Supertram exit for Leppings Lane.
Extra city-centre trams are planned, while Blue and Yellow services may temporarily terminate at Shalesmoor as crowds disperse.
Sunday: daytime Blue Route services are expected every 15 minutes, while the Purple Route will be extended to Middlewood every 15 minutes.
Bus disruption
Main disruption periods:
Friday and Saturday: approximately 9pm to 11.59pm
Sunday: approximately 8pm to 11.59pm
- 8 – diverted towards Wadsley Bridge.
- 18A, 52, 97 and 98 – changes around Hillsborough Interchange.
- 57 and 57A – major diversions affecting several areas.
- 81 and 82 – evening restrictions affecting Malin Bridge and Stannington.
- 86 – diverted towards Wadsley Bridge.
Services 7, 8A, 31, 32, 58, H1 and M92 could also face delays due to congestion.
Road closures and traffic
Localised road closures are expected around Hillsborough as crowds leave the festival, with significant congestion likely during the evening.
Driving to the festival?
Malin Bridge and Middlewood Park & Ride are among the recommended options rather than attempting to park close to Hillsborough Park.

The free Fringe at Tramlines also takes place across Sheffield throughout the weekend, including the Devonshire Green main stage and events at pubs, bars and grassroots venues.
