Radio Essentials, like each commercial station that broadcasts in the UK has obligations
with regard to its programmes, including its music and audio content.

The Public File is just one indicator of our output. If you have any comments on it, let us
know or if necessary, contact our regulator, Ofcom. Our licence number is: DP104861BA/1.

News
Except in special and / or exceptional circumstances, the station broadcasts news
bulletins hourly from 00:00 until 23:59, Monday to Friday.
Bulletins contain a mix of National, International and world stories, along with sport and
weather.

Radio Essentials also produces a local news bulletin airing from 6am to 5pm Monday to
Friday. This is produced in-house and be contacted by emailing:

At the weekend, there are no news bulletins.
All National and International news is produced by "Radio News Hub".

Programmes
Radio Essentials broadcasts twenty-four hours a day, with programmes which are listed on
our website www.radioessentials.co.uk

Programme Production
A large amount of broadcasts are produced in the broadcast area and sent to our virtual
machine based in Ormskirk. Voice tracked (VT) content is broadcast for 18 hours a day
during weekdays (06:00 - 00:00), and 19 hours on weekends (06:00 - 00:00).

Some programmes are pre-recorded or broadcast live via remote broadcast.
All production of other content including commercials, promos, station imaging, voice
overs and some radio shows are also produced from the studio address to which the
content is uploaded from.

Music
Radio Essentials is licensed to play ‘mainstream music’. It plays a mix of current
mainstream pop songs alongside classic chart hits from the last fifty years. The station
also plays a mixture of specialised music shows at the weekend including, Dance, Trance,
60's and rock.
