Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I'm married with three lovely children and two cats and live in Derbyshire. I'm at an age now where I can do embarrassing things and not care what people think. I've drank coffee non stop for over 30 years, never tea, until recently where coffee makes me sick and i've turned into a tea-belly. I love theme parks and visit Alton Towers with my two adrenaline fuelled daughters nearly every week.
How did you start out in radio?
Started out on bedroom radio, well converted walk-in-wardrobe radio for a number of years then applied to work at Hospital Radio in Chesterfield at the age of 15, bugged a load of presenters on local stations asking if I could help out on their shows and they said yes. Started applying to jobs in radio and managed to get hired by Peak FM, Hallam FM, The Revolution, Kerrang Radio & Signal One. I'm now a voice over with my own production and imaging company.
What is your favourite takeaway?
I do love a nice chinese from my local take-away, also partial to an Indian but my absolute favourite is a massive jacket potato from the spud van.
If you could make any kind of crisps flavour what would it be?
Buttery jacket potato flavour. In fact i'm sure they were made for a short time.
Tell us one fact that nobody knows about:
I rode Nemesis at Alton Towers 31 times in one day.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in the leafy town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, the town with the bent spire, Chatsworth House and the place where the Channel Tunnel boreing machine was built!
Favourite music or artist?
I have many favourite artists include the Pet Shop Boys, Maroon 5 and anything from the 80's. I'm into alot of trance and chill out music including the excellent Chicane. Also a little partial to Synthwave.
Hobby or interests?
Roller coaster mad so visit a theme park nearly once a week. My favourite thing is to binge watch shows with my wife. Is it possible to complete Netflix?
Join me every weekday morning from 06:30 for me waffling between songs across Sheffield & south Yorkshire.
