How to listen to us

Our mobile apps

You can take us wherever you go through our apps available on the Apple app store and on Google Play.

From the app you can message the studio, visit our social media accounts, see our schedule, visit our website, see artist, title and track art and hear the station.

If you’re not in DAB coverage area you can connect our app to your car’s bluetooth and listen while you commute.

On DAB Radio

We are now available on your DAB radio across the whole of Sheffield and Rotherham.

If you can’t see us on your station list, simply re-scan your digital radio and you will see us listed under ‘Sheffcast’.

You can then save us as one of your favourites so you can listen to us anytime.

Listen to us on your smart speaker

You can listen to us around your home via your Alexa smart speaker. All you have to do is go to the Alexa App on your phone, under skills type in Radio Essentials. Add it as a skill to your Alexa account. You can also say to Alexa ‘Enable Sheffield’s Essentials’, or ‘Enable Rotherham’s Essentials’ depending on where you live.

Then all you have to do is ask Alexa to ‘Play Sheffield’s Essentials’, or ‘Play Rotherham’s Essentials’. If you have multiple Alexa’s in your house, why not set up a ‘everywhere group’.  Multiroom for music :o)
